Completion Management Summary
National Jets Inc (NJI) provides expert customer representation and on-site management for "Green" delivery, registration, exterior paint, interior completion, and certification of Boeing BBJ aircraft. NJI also provides ongoing aircraft management and support of completed BBJ's including management of flight and cabin crews, maintenance programs, and worldwide flight operations for BBJ owners.
National Jets began restoring, modifying, and managing aircraft interior completions over 30 years ago, from antique aircraft including PBY Catalinas, to the most modern light and heavy jets including Learjets, Gulfstreams and Boeing BBJ’s.
NJI recently had the distinction of representing one of our long established clients through this total BBJ purchase and completion process. We are pleased to state that the BBJ was delivered on time, met the interior weight and sound level commitments, and is considered to have one of the more exquisite and functional interiors in the BBJ fleet. NJI still manages this BBJ on a daily basis and conducts all maintenance and worldwide flight operations for this private owner. Below please find an outline of services offered through our Boeing BBJ completion management program. BBJ “GREEN” DELIVERY FROM FACTORY:
Boeing FCF Functional Flights and/or Acceptance Flights.
Aircraft documentation review and acceptance meetings.
Delivery location, schedule, and documentation required for closing.
Green aircraft delivery, acceptance, and closing. Provide flight crew for each aircraft movement.
AIRCRAFT REGISTRATION:
AIRCRAFT EXTERIOR PAINT DESIGN & APPLICATION:
Negotiate price, paint, undercoat, high-build process, weight commitment, warranty terms, payment schedules, delivery timeframe.
Assist with design of paint scheme.
Oversee application of anticorrosive undercoat, basecoats, and high-build.
Oversee “stripe layout” of paint scheme and sign off.
Quality Control of each application of paint.
Documentation is completed, aircraft releases and log book entries are executed.
Final inspection of aircraft flight ready condition and redelivery to customer.
Coordinate flight delivery from the paint facility to completion center.
INTERIOR DESIGN AND COMPLETION:
Negotiate completion contract development and completion price package including timelines, completion dates, incentive and penalty clauses, deposits and payment schedules, warranty, spares, weight and sound level commitment, noise insulation package, redelivery location.
Assist with interior floor plan design.
Develop entertainment, communications, information systems, & galley equipment.
Assist design selections of fabric, wood, leather for wall coverings, tables, seating.
Develop written specification of interior and component design, drawings & renderings.
Review all concept, elevations, interior renderings per Client’s vision.
Oversee Pre Design Review meetings with completion center.
Oversee Critical Design Review meeting and sign off of interior plans.
Provide onsite NJI team members to provide supervision throughout the build process.
Induction, aircraft weighing, maintenance inspection, inventory and aircraft preservation.
Evaluate all engineering drawings.
Inspections during build to ensure proper manufacturing, installation, and schedule.
Oversee routine aircraft maintenance, inspections, and completion of AD’s & SB’s.
Outfitting and stocking of the completed aircraft.
Oversee reweighing of completed aircraft and new weight and balance.
Aircraft de-preservation for “FCF,” “Sound,” and “Cold Soak” and certification flights.
Develop pre-delivery work list based on final interior inspection and functional tests.
Select maintenance tracking service provider and verify data.
Provide re-delivery assistance completion center and acceptance documentation.
Provide familiarization training of passenger convenience items. Provide “In Service” technical support of the delivered aircraft.
