National Jets Receives New Lease at KFLL and Announces Plans for New Terminal and Hangars

Fort Lauderdale, Florida, May 24, 2022 — National Jets, the leading independent FBO at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (KFLL), announces the company has secured its next long-term ground lease. Founded by the Boy brothers in 1947, National Jets established its award-winning fixed-base operator (FBO) at KFLL in 1968.

With the new lease agreement, National Jets will invest $20 million in the first phase of expansion, which includes a modern FBO terminal and 84,000 square feet of dedicated hangar space. This facility serves as another visible demonstration of the continued commitment to customers, the local community, and continuing the legacy of the Boy brothers. National Jets will be unveiling the new facility and development plans in the next month and has already begun accepting commitments for its newly planned hangar and office space.

Mark Binko, CEO and grandson of National Jets founder James Boy, says “Gaining our new lease allows us to make the necessary investments in much-needed infrastructure at FLL. The demand for hangar space in South Florida, particularly dedicated hangar space, continues to grow. We look forward to providing our guests with the amenities that they have been asking for plus a few more surprises we think they will appreciate. Our goal is to provide an exclusive ‘country club’ type environment and experience for our guests. South Florida is a demanding market with plenty of competition. Winning and retaining these clients requires tremendous attention to detail and we can now offer a first-class facility that matches the high level of customer service for which our company is known.”
